"How I feel about myself is more important than how I look. Feeling confident, being comfortable in your own skin- that's what really makes you beautiful."

MEET YASHIKA NUTHALAPATI
I am currently a junior at Frisco High School, where I am taking my journey into the dermatology field through the Independent study mentorship program(ISM). I have chosen this field because I have learned what the feeling of being confident in your own skin can do for a person and I want to make young teens such as people like me and you feel this way. As a highschool student ,and a teenager that is growing and changing like most of my classmates, I have seen that many of us suffer with low self esteem and confidence due to our changing skin. While this can most definitely be due to other factors, a prominent reason is due to not knowing how to take care of your skin's health. In the future, I would like to be able to inform patients of how their skin works and not make them feel indifferent because everyone experiences it too.
